Dr. Peter Klimley
Dr. Peter Klimley has been studying sharks for over 20 years. He poineered breath hold diving for  research with sharks. tion for Pete,Diving down 100 feet/30 meters to hand-tag hammerhead sharks. He  famously dressed up as a killer whale, complete with towering black dorsal fin, to gauge the  reaction of lemon sharks. An associate research behaviorist at the Bodega Marine Laboratory,  University of California at Davis, Klimley has studied scalloped hammerheads at an underwater  seamount, known as El Bajo Espiritu Santo in the Gulf of California off Mexico for two decades. Dr Jose Castro
Jose I Castro, Ph.D., is a scientist with NOAA Fisheries Service and he is based at Mote Marine  Laboratory in Sarasota, Florida. Prior to that position he was shark biologist for the Food and  Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Trinidad. He was also a major in the U.S. Air  Force and a navigator in KC-135, C-141, and C-5A aircraft. Dr. Castro received a B.S. degree from  the University of Miami and a Ph.D. from Clemson University. Dr Arturo Muhlia Melo
Dr. Muhlia Melo received a M.S. in Biology at San Diego State University before completing his Ph.D.  in Marine Biology in Mexico City. His theses discussed the biology and fisheries of yellowfin tuna  in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. Since 1984 he has served as a professor and chief scientist at CIBNOR  in the areas of marine ecology, fisheries science, and natural resources. Dr Felipe Galván Magaña
Felipe Galvan is one of Mexico's most renown shark researchers from the Centro Interdisciplinario de  Ciencias del Mar. Felipe's work covers almost all Pelagic Species in the Baja Penisular and the  Eastern Pacific. Dr. Galván Magaña received an M.S. in Marine Science at CICIMAR while studying the  diet of yellowfin tuna in the Mexican Pacific. He completed his Ph.D. in Marine Ecology at CICESE  (Ensenada) with an analysis of trophic relationships among pelagic predators in the Eastern Pacific.  He has served as professor and researcher at CICIMAR since 1982 and studies dietary habits of fish  and sharks in the Eastern Pacific. Felipe supervises all our shark and Ray research based in La Paz,  Mexico and the surrounding area. Felipe speak Spanish and English and cooks a mean BBQ! Dr. Oscar Sosa Nishizaki
Oscar is part of The Centro de Investigación Científica y de Educación Superior de Ensenada ( CICESE ), Departamento de Oceanografía Biológica , originally from Mexico City, has made the ocean his home  for the last 25 years. Dr. Sosa holds degree from universities in Mexico and Japan and has conducted  studies of pelagic fish throughout the Pacific. Dr. Sosa is an expert in Shark Fisheries in the Sea  of Cortez. With more than 50 publications, technical reports, scientific reports and books Dr. Sosa  has helped the world to a greater understanding of Swordfish, Tuna and a number of shark species.  Dr. Sosa is fluent in Spanish, English and Japanese.
